fun fact: my french teacher said that if you listen to these over and over again it will sink in just like how you learned how to speak. You were born not speaking. Eventually you made noises. Then you began to form words and then you kept learning BECAUSE of your parents speaking to you in any language. Think of these as your parents and you are hearing how they speak.
But during those times, when we are with our parents we learn the context and meaning of those words visually or audibly. Here, we do not hear the sound of a coffee shop, Where we are, what we are doing, nor do we see a coffee even though they are talking at a cafe. I think that its important that you do listening In real life, or real situation.
My fiancé just showed me your comment. I am glad my videos have inspired you. I am sure your grandpa will be proud of you for learning your heritage language. Good luck!
I started with my Chinese (mandarin) lessons this year and this is so so helpful!! It really helps me to learn pronounce the words/sentences more naturally.

Damn good stuff. "Everyday Chinese" do some excellent videos for sure. I tend to go with "Everyday Chinese" videos and some others. It's like when you see certain faces or logos on RUclips you just know that they have a reputation for delivering really helpful learning resources and in this case Mandarin. The thing is also is that the sentence make sense as it is a conversation that we would all have at some time and it's not like "I just wouldn't say that cos it don't make any sense to me and will just have to forget about it or ignore it cos I just can't relate to it in any intelligent manner - too weird!!". It's all relatable. Thank you so much "Everyday Chinese".

You know there are four tones in mandarin. Different tone of the character means different. Also welcome to watch my video regarding how to learn mandarin in a systematic way. It starts from zero, very useful for beginners! 😍😀
this video was very useful for me, I really want to learn languages Chinese for my work but the first time I learn grammar Chinese it was very hard then I found this video now I can learn Chinese very simply. thank you very much
Trying to learn some Chinese for a person I want to be friends with who came to the US with no prior knowledge of the English language. Her English gets better every day. It’s been rough but I found some good courses and hope to go back to school with a bit of knowledge. She had to adapt to the english me learning basic Chinese is the least I can do.
I'm going to looking for a language learning partner .i'm a chinese and i also learning english .so we can exchange for the languages ,if you want contact me !!

I am the top fan because I am smart at English, and Chinese. I was start typing lesson. Now I am a master at typing. How do I speak Chinese for 1000 conversation? I don't know about Chinese, so I study only 100 conversations. I have no choice.
And I just copy it into my lesson book to imagine in the future because I didn't know too much. In the future, I want to be a man who speaks Chinese too much. I don't want to be a talkative man.
I am sooo happy that I came across this video!!! It's so practical! I actually understood some things they were saying. Thank you for your great work❤🎉!❤🎉😊
A friend of mine was doing one lesson per language on duolingo for fun, I got excited to give a peek at some languages, I came here to understand to, at least, learn some little things about Chinese language (Mandarin? There is a difference, right?) I got myself surprised because I got some words so fast, nothing better than guessing and a translator next to you, and a flexible tongue because oh my! It's too hard to speak. Anyway, learn languages is so interesting, maybe on future I can learn more Chinese.

I'm here thanks to @laoshu505000 He was a legend, single handedly demonstrating how to overcome racism. By going out of your way to learn about someone's heritage or learn their language you break down linguistic and cultural barriers. Bringing you closer to that person and earning a level of respect most strangers wouldn't be granted. I guarantee you that anyone laoshu interacted with that may of had a level of prejudice before most definitely would of relaxed their previous views if not changed them entirely. I can only speak on my experience as an Australian but I love hearing immigrants adopt our slang and lifestyle habits and I always love learning about theirs. Hence why I'm here, I intend to begin with Mandarin. Laoshu was one of the first to prove to me how rewarding and exciting learning languages can be. RIP Laoshu. ❤

Nice to know my random idea of listening to these for an hour and babbling a long wasn't purely nutty
